To help with issues you may encounter installing Microsoft 365 due to slow speeds or unreliable connections, as a first step, download theSupport and recovery assistantTool. (For information about this tool, seeon here.)

Offline installer manual steps

If the Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant doesn't help, follow the steps below specific to your plan. You'll need to be connected to the internet to download this setup file, but once you've done that, you can install Microsoft 365 offline on a PC if you prefer.

The following steps are different if your Microsoft 365 product is part of ahome Officeocorporate officeplan, so you need to choose the correct tab for your product.

Microsoft 365 for home

Step 1. Download the offline installer from your account portal

To download the offline installer, go towww.oficina.com. If you're not already signed in with the Microsoft account associated with your copy of Microsoft 365 or Microsoft 365, sign in now. If you signed in with a different account, sign out of that account and sign in again with the correct Microsoft account.

Use:If you're trying to install Microsoft 365 that you got with your work or school account and you're already signed in with your work or school account, don't follow these instructions. Choosecorporate officeGuide from above to the place.
Chooseinstall workshop. If you have a Microsoft 365 subscription, you must also selectInstalar Office >on the installation page.
In the window select Download and installOther options.
check the boxDownload an offline installerand select the language in which you want to install Microsoft 365 Apps. ChooseTo go down.
If prompted, select at the bottom of the browser windowsave not computer(I'm Rand)Open mind(Soy Internet Explorer),open after completion(in chrome) orsave file(in Firefox). The file will download to your PC.
After the download is complete, open File Explorer and look for a new virtual drive, for example(D:). This drive contains the Microsoft 365 installation files. If you don't see the new drive, locate the image file you downloaded and double-click it. The new drive should appear in your directory.

Use:If you have already labeled a drive(D:), Microsoft 365 creates a virtual drive with the next available drive letter, which would be(MI:)(as shown in the next step below).
Save the image:You can also save a copy of this virtual drive to a USB stick or disk for later use.

Step 2. Install Office

Select the Microsoft 365 folder on the virtual drive and double-click theSetup32.exeto install the 32-bit version of Microsoft 365, theSetup64.exeto install the 64-bit version to start the offline installation. If you're not sure which version is right for you, read on.Choose 64-bit or 32-bit version of Office.

After the Microsoft 365 installation is complete, you need to activate Microsoft 365. Make sure you are connected to the Internet and open any Office application such as Word or Excel.

In most cases, Office is activated as soon as you launch an application and click on it.To acceptto accept the license terms. If you need help with activation, seeactivate office.
After activating Office and before using it, make sure you have the latest update.

If you have a Microsoft 365 for enterprise product, you can use the Microsoft 365 Deployment Tool (ODT) to download and install Microsoft 365 or Microsoft 365 offline. The tool is designed for corporate environments and runs from the command line, so the steps are more complicated, but it still works for a single device installation.

You must receive a Microsoft 365 or Microsoft 365 license to install and activate Microsoft 365 Apps. To verify that you have one, seeWhich Microsoft 365 business or product license do I have?

Step 1 - Download and install the Office Deployment Tool

Create a folder on your hard drive and name itODT. For this example, let's create it on the c:\ drive as follows:c:\ODT.
Download the Microsoft 365 Deployment Tool fromMicrosoft Download Center. ChooseSave asand save it in the Downloads folder.
In the Downloads folder, double-click theOffice Deployment Toolexe to install it.
If you see the User Account Control notice stating,Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?, cliqueY.
Accept the Microsoft Software License Terms and clickContinue.
I'mbrowse folderdialog box, choose theODTfolder you created earlier, and then clickOK.

Step 2: Download and install Office

The following drop-down list contains step-by-step steps that show how to download and install the 32-bit or 64-bit version of Microsoft 365 Apps for business or Microsoft 365 Apps for business.

If you have Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise orMicrosoft 365 Business-Standardplan, you must download the Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise version. For all other plans, download the Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise version. See the following if you are not sure which version to install:
